Excalibur offers high-efficiency turbidity filtration systems for commercial applications using standard controls for 1”, 1.25”, 1.5”, 2”, and 3” simplex, twin alternating, duplex alternating, and multi-tank configurations.
Water turbidity (cloudy, hazy water) is tiny particles of water suspended in a colloidal solution. These particles may be undissolved inorganics (such as ash) or organic material entering the water from the surface that does not break down completely. These particles are not necessarily the same size – while some larger particles will settle to the bottom if the water is undisturbed, smaller ones may settle very slowly or not at all. Instead, they are suspended and scattered throughout the water, absorbing light rays, which is what gives the water a cloudy appearance.
Excalibur Water Turbidity Filters remove all particulate matter from the water down to particles 5 microns in diameter.
Multi-tank configurations with 1” to 2” control valves utilize the Excalibur System Controller, enabling a wide variety of applications offering single-train or dual-train systems up to a total of 8 vessels for turbidity filtration applications.
Systems with 2″ high flow or 3″ control valves feature custom, built-in programming and support up to 16-vessel multi-tank configurations.
Multi-tank configurations using the Excalibur System Controller, 2” high flow, or 3” control valves offer four options for system programming operation: progressive flow, alternator, random, and series, providing flexible solutions for your commercial water treatment requirements.

Industrial turbidity filters (media filters) are an effective filtration method for reducing turbidity caused by suspended particles in water.
The cause of water turbidity (cloudy, hazy water) is tiny particles suspended in a colloidal solution. These particles may be undissolved inorganics (ash, for example) or organic material entering the water from the surface and not breaking down completely.
Excalibur Water Systems Industrial Turbidity Filters remove all particulate matter from the water to particles ranging from 1 to 5 microns. PLC operation-controlled pneumatic or motorized valves are offered in a wide range of application designs and required flow rates for ease of operation.
Excalibur industrial turbidity system design, with flow rate per square footage of bed area, offers high flow lateral design utilizing clinoptilolite natural media with a large surface area and microporous structure, which provides a highly efficient filter media for the reduction of suspended matter.
Simplex or multi-tank constant or progressive flow options are available with outlet monitoring with custom communication protocols providing turbidity solutions for industrial solutions.
